Cash On Delivery Fees

The Fee Settings section allows merchants to apply an additional fee when customers choose the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method. This helps cover handling costs or third-party COD charges.

1. Status

Enable or disable the overall COD restriction settings.

  • Active → All configured restrictions apply.
  • Inactive → No restrictions are applied.

Use this option to temporarily enable or disable COD fees without deleting your setup.

2. Shipping Method

COD fees can be applied only to specific shipping rates. This ensures the fee is charged under the correct shipping method, especially when multiple COD or non-COD shipping options exist.

Select your Cash On Delivery shipping rates

Choose the shipping rate(s) that should include the COD fee. Example:

  • Cash On Delivery
  • COD – Standard
  • COD – Express

The selected shipping rates will be the ones to which the COD fee is applied.

Note:

If your COD shipping method does not appear in the list:

Create a new shipping rate inside your Shopify Shipping settings.

Ensure the name clearly indicates COD (example: Cash On Delivery).

Return to this page and click Refresh Shipping Rates.

3. Refresh Shipping Rates

Refresh Shipping Rates Button

Click this button to reload and synchronize your latest Shopify shipping rates into the app.

Use this after adding, editing, or deleting any shipping rate in Shopify.

Ensures the COD fee applies to the most up-to-date shipping configurations.
